About Progressive Pulse
Progressive Pulse is an emerging youth-oriented grassroots movement committed to youth development, civic responsibility and community engagement. Beginning with Ikorodu and Lagos East, the movement seeks to build meaningful relationships among young people, community stakeholders and institutions while promoting access to relevant opportunities and initiatives.
Guided by the principles of Youth, People and Progress, Progressive Pulse aims to grow through volunteer participation, transparent leadership and practical community engagement.
The creation and execution of this platform was carefully crafted over months of field groundwork, becoming fully operational on the 10th October, 2026. We are a youth structured movement focused on achieving grassroots connections: mobilizing young people and enlightening them on why they need to be a part of Now, and not later. We encourage youth to take part in decision making processes, policy making conversations, local government and ward activities, and finally taking part in elections.
Our scope is achieved through combining social media, modern technology, and on the ground manpower to provide grassroots mobilization and stakeholder outreach.
Youth · People · Progress
These three themes form the heartbeat of every initiative, ward action unit, and community dialogue.
Youth
Placing young citizens at the steering wheel of community action. Young people must lead the conversation today, actively shaping policies rather than waiting for tomorrow.
People
Building genuine, trusted relationships with market traders, community elders, student unions, and local leaders across Ikorodu, Lagos East, and expanding areas.
Progress
Championing measurable public achievements: student financial access through NELFUND, zero university strikes, local government autonomy, and transformative infrastructure.
Led by Experienced Youth Organizers
Under the leadership of Director-General Senator Balogun Aderemi, our secretariat and directorate bring together proven leaders in student representation, technology, mobilization, and public service.

From this solid foundation of neighborhood action teams, Progressive Pulse possesses a longer term ambition to expand its youth coordination model across all local governments in Lagos State and throughout Nigeria.
